When I Grow Up Day 2026
Each year students celebrate 'When I Grow Up' Day where our students explore their dreams and aspirations for the future! Dressed as their future selves, from firefighters and doctors to artists and engineers, they share their passions and learn about various careers. This inspiring day encouraged everyone to imagine the possibilities ahead and celebrate the exciting journey of growing up

Harmony Day 2026
Harmony Day is a vibrant celebration of diversity and inclusion. Students, staff, and families come together to recognise and respect the many cultures that make up their community. he event fosters understanding, acceptance, and unity among all members of the school, making it a highlight of the school calendar.
Swimming Carnival 2026
Lismore Public School’s swimming carnival is a lively annual event where students compete in races, take part in a range of water activities, and enjoy cheering on their friends. It’s a great chance to build school spirit, encourage participation, and celebrate everyone’s achievements in a fun and supportive environment.
Book Week 2025
Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading. Students take part in fun activities throughout the week.
Book Fair 2025
The Book Fair offers students and families a chance to browse and buy books, supporting a love of reading and discovering new stories to enjoy at home. Everyone is welcome!
Easter Hat Parade
Our Easter Hat Parade celebrates student creativity with colourful hats, bringing the school community together for a fun, festive event full of music, laughter, and Easter spirit.
Mother's Day Afternoon Tea
Our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea brought students, families, and staff together to celebrate mothers and carers, strengthening our school community and creating a warm, supportive environment through shared connection and celebration.
NAIDOC Week
At our school, NAIDOC Week is a meaningful time to celebrate and learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Through activities and stories, we strengthen respect and connection within our community.
Excursions
Excursions provide students with valuable hands-on learning experiences outside the classroom. They inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and help build teamwork while exploring new places together.
Incursions
Our PBL incursion celebrated students embracing our core values: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be a Learner. It highlighted their achievements and encouraged ongoing positive behaviour and personal growth.

Location: Nesbitt Park, South Lismore
Students aged 8 and above will take part in Lismore Public School’s Cross Country, challenging themselves, cheering each other on, and building fitness and school spirit.
P&C meeting
Date: Monday 3rd May 2026
Time: 5:15pm - 6:15pm
Location: LPS Staffr
Join our vibrant P&C. Meetings are held week 2 and 7 of every term in the staff room. Parents and carers are welcome to attend.

Touch football representative trials will take place in Evans Head, giving students a chance to showcase their skills and try out for the school team.
Mother's Day Afternoon Tea

NRPSSA Girls Netball

Location: Lismore
Lismore Public School’s netball representatives will compete, showcasing their skills and teamwork as they play against other schools.
NRPSSA Knockout Netball Gala Day
Date: Wednesday 13th May 2026

This is an exciting chance for students to represent our school, showcase their skills, and enjoy a day of teamwork and friendly competition.
GRIP Leadership Conference
Date: Thursday 14th May 2026
Location: Lismore SCU
Lismore Public School’s captains will attend the GRIP Leadership Conference to develop their leadership skills and connect with other student leaders.
Year 5/6 Camp
Date: Monday 17th - Wednesday 19th August 2026
Location: Coffs Coast Adventure Centre
Year 5 and 6 students will enjoy a three-day camp at Coffs Coast Adventure Centre, taking part in fun activities, building teamwork, and making lasting memories.
